Learning Goals for November 29th to December 3rd!

Sorry I am bit late with posting... what I can say coming off of a long break you kind of get out of your groove a little bit! I am hoping all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!


Math:
Double digit addition with carrying
Identifying tens and ones in any number
Writing numbers 101-150
Addition and subtraction facts
Review telling time to the hour
Missing Addends


Language Arts:
Phrase: It could always be worse...


We began our chapter book read aloud, Chocolate Fever!
We will be working on the following comprehension strategies...

  • making connections
  • making inferences
  • making pictures in our mind to help us understand what is going on
  • identifying characters, setting, beginning, middle, ending events in sequential order
  • identifying problems and solutions
  • learning new vocabulary words by using familiar words in the text

We will also be beginning to be talking about the 1 out of the 3 world religions that we will be studying in the month of December!   Judaism...

Learning Goals for November 8th to the 12th!

A Tribute to Our Veterans! 
This week we will be spending time learning about Veterans!
Monday we will discussing What is a Veteran? or better yet Who is a Veteran?
Tuesday- What is the military? What do they do? We will listen to the military songs!
Wednesday- How do you show respect to someone in uniform? Why is it important to show service men and women respect?
Thursday- Veterans Day! - Why do we celebrate?
Friday - How do we remember Veterans? The White Table

Place Value- using rods and ones
Describing numbers - How many ways can you show...?
Addition and Subtraction Practice
Shapes - circle, triangle, rectangle, square, parallelogram, rhombus, hexagon and trapezoid
