Learning Goals for January 18th to the 21st!

We have a short week this week and on top of that we will be releasing at 1pm everyday.

Math:
Double Digit Subtraction with Regrouping
Telling Time to the Half-Hour
Measuring with Non-Standard Units (links, tiles, cubes, paper clips, etc.)

Spelling: We will not have a spelling test this week due to the short week.

Phonograms: We will not have a phonogram test this week. We will be working on phonograms in class. We are going to be focusing on some of the more difficult phonograms. (If you still have the phonogram list from the beginning of the school year, we will be focusing on the last 15-20 phonograms on the list.)

Language Arts:
We are going to continue learning about Fairy Tales.
Students will be finishing their nonfiction books about fairy tales this week.
Students will be working on identifying the problem and solution.

Social Studies:
We will continue to learn about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.
We will be making posters and signs, as a form of communication and as a nonviolent way to get a message heard.

I look forward to meeting with you all about your child's progress this school year!
